About The Instructor

This training was created by Ing. Ricardo Barrow, an electrical engineer, licensed electrician, and college-level electrical instructor with over four decades of experience in the electrical trade.

Ing. Barrow began his career in the 1970s as a working electrician, installing and maintaining residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Over time, he advanced into electrical engineering and project supervision roles, where he designed electrical systems, enforced NEC compliance, and supervised large-scale installations

For more than 13 years, he has served as a college electrical instructor, teaching electrical theory, NEC code application, safety practices, and hands-on installation methods. His instruction reflects real-world field conditions, inspection requirements, and professional standards.

Teaching Philosophy

Traditional NEC instruction teaches you how to find the address in the Code book. That skill is important — and I teach it.

My approach goes a step further. I teach using a GPS mindset — visual examples,
real-world scenarios, and clear direction — so students don’t just arrive at the answer,
they understand the path.
